Terms of Use — Universal Control

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using Universal Control (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated by reference.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only to control devices you own or are authorized to operate, and not to:

reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law;
use the App to interfere with networks or devices you do not control;
resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App.

3. Subscriptions

The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions (“Premium”) that unlock additional features:

Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly plans are available. Pricing is shown in the App and on the App Store for your region.
A free trial may be offered. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

4. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Compatibility

The App controls third-party TVs and streaming devices over your local network. Available functions depend on each manufacturer’s protocols and may change if a manufacturer updates its firmware. We do not guarantee compatibility with every model or feature.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all devices.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App.

8. Trademarks

Apple, App Store, Siri, and Apple TV are trademarks of Apple Inc. Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony, Android TV, Fire TV, Google TV, and Chromecast are trademarks of their respective owners. Universal Control is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by these companies.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
