My TV isn’t found. What should I do?

Make sure your iPhone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, and allow Universal Control to access the local network when prompted (or in iOS Settings ▸ Universal Control ▸ Local Network). If discovery still fails, you can add the TV manually by its IP address — the app supports Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony and Android TV by IP.

Which TV brands are supported?

Roku, Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Vizio SmartCast, Sony Bravia, Android TV / Google TV, Fire TV, Apple TV and Chromecast. Available functions depend on each brand’s protocol.

The Home-Screen widget or Siri says “No TV”.

Open the app and connect to your TV at least once — the app shares the active device with the widget and Siri. Make sure you’re signed in to the same device and the TV is reachable on your Wi-Fi.

How do I use Siri?

Say, for example, “Hey Siri, turn up the TV with Universal Control” or “Toggle power on Universal Control.” You can rename these phrases in the Shortcuts app.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Go to iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions, select Universal Control, and choose your plan or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is my data private?

Yes. There are no accounts and no tracking. Your paired devices, settings and commands stay on your device and local network. Read our Privacy Policy.

What languages does the app support?

49 languages, including full right-to-left support for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu. The app follows your device language automatically.
